Welcome to an intimate marathon, with all kinds of pleasures for the mind, the spirit, and the body. Whether you are a clinomaniac, and passionately desire to stay in bed, or a dysaniac with overwhelming difficulties leaving it, if you stay in bed with us for the next hours, all you will get is the joy of life, comfortably in bed, luxuriously in your pajamas. Three things matter today, and only three: - bed - pajamas - state of being The history of beds is documented no less than 22,000 years before us. The bed as object is one thing, the way we see its use is yet another, along with what we do with the time devoted to it. Just like cultures and periods have different concepts of the object, the culture often determines how we spend the time on it, and around it. For instance, there are many terms in different cultures and languages connected with the moments of joy just before bed.
- Betthupferl – in the German language, a treat with or by which to jump onto bed
- Lullaby – a song sung to fall asleep
- coffee in bed – after hours only half knowing that another body provides company, coffee in bed is an elevated form of being awake together
- Lullaby
These days in pajamas put us as society in a fairly contradictory state. The arrival of pajamas in western culture around the 17th century was focused on providing individual and comfort at home, promoting a deserved level of intimate luxury. However, during the last couple of decades we have witnessed in different parts of the globe the tendency towards dressing so deeply down that the wardrobe commonly worn on sofas or beds, is being worn as regular street clothing.
May our first Pajama Party allow us to be culturally comfortable in bed, while elevating our spirit and mind luxuriously by being lulled, kept awake, or even lifted by these surroundings.
You are cordially invited to spend some hours with us in your pajamas, in bed, partying, or meditating, while listening in the virtual pajama party room on Clubhouse to music, and other forms of acoustic offerings.
