his five-act play, set to the music of the incomparable Edward Grieg, interpreted as an expressive evening of ballet and movement, is loosely based on the Norwegian fairy tale.

It pleasantly points out that, while in “Capriccio” Richard Strauss is arguing the greatest expressive form to be between poetry and music, the body itself is beauty. Edward Clug is the choreographer.
