It is a wonderful world, nevertheless.
This sentiment could be seen as the central motivation which led to an on-going compilation of birthdates for hundreds of individuals who, beyond their to us recognizable presence on earth, have contributed music, words, pictures, thinking, and views on life which have been engraved in our planet’s DNA, some clearly palpable many centuries after their individual creations.
To honor such humans and their works, a series of celebratory conversations have been taking place on the Clubhouse application for nearly two years, mainly as the series The Life You Give. Under the same concept, a few composers and filmmakers have been celebrated with weeks of their own around their birthdates:
- Days with Ingmar Bergman (July 2023)
- Days with Kaikhosru Sorabji (August 2023)
- Days with Pedro Almodovar (September 2023)
Yet another in-depth week approaches with the 210th birth celebration of the great composer Guiseppe Verdi. Being the prolific and unique source of energy he was (and continues) to be, this event will initiate the new series “musicus organicus”.

Much is said about the listener.
Much more could be said about the composer.
Is the composer composing from the liver?
Heart?
Lungs?
Kidney?
Genitalia?
Brain?
Spine?
With musicus organicus, one intention is evidently clear, simple, and magnificent. There is an organization at work, and a deeper viewing into why, how, and in which context the individual composes colors, words, movements, or music, can greatly enhance our perception of the artistic manifestation, even centuries later.
